College Basketball

The men’s college basketball season has gotten underway, and about four weeks in, there are only sixteen remaining undefeated teams. That may sound like a lot, but there are over three hundred fifty Division 1 teams. So in reality it is a small portion of teams in that still have a perfect record. These are headlined by the Louisville Cardinals who currently hold the number one ranking, and have a great home win against fourth ranked Michigan. The third ranked Maryland Terrapins are also undefeated and just won the Orlando Invitational. Another major undefeated team is the sixth ranked Ohio State Buckeyes. The Buckeyes will certainly move up in the rankings considering that the beat Villanova by 24 points and North Carolina on the road by 25. Both of which are ranked. Other undefeated teams include twelfth ranked Arizona, fourteenth ranked Auburn, twentieth ranked Colorado, twenty fourth ranked Butler, San Diego State, DePaul, Duquesne, Indiana, West Virginia, SMU, Delaware, Liberty, and Arkansas. All of the undefeated teams that are not currently ranked, have received votes to be ranked. Some of these teams have very high chances to be ranked all though some higher than others. I would not be surprised to see teams like Indiana, DePaul, and West Virginia be ranked as soon as next week at the time of me writing this. It is going to be more difficult for teams like Delaware, Liberty, and even Duquesne due to them being smaller schools in less talented conferences.
